Hong Kong: Random food around Fortress Hill and Causeway Bay

By Cubie - July 16, 2024

The hotel we booked is located in between North Point and Fortress Hill MTR stations, a little closer to Fortress Hill MTR station. By the time we got to the hotel and checked in, we didn't feel like going too far away and felt a little hungry. So we decided it was time for an early dinner and noticed that Sister Wah Beef Brisket (華姐清湯腩) wasn't too far away. We ordered 5 bowl of noodles and add-on of turnip. The kids shared 1 bowl of noodles. Total cost HKD 355.

After dinner, we crossed Victoria Park towards Causeway Bay area. There wasn't any particular place that we wanted to go so we just randomly walked around. Then we saw a street vendor selling roasted chestnuts so we bought a packet. Even though we just had dinner, followed by chestnuts, we still wanted desserts. We saw one nearby but we kept on turning into a wrong street so we gave up and walked back towards the hotel's direction.

This place 養生糊 甜品專門店 showed up on Google with rating of above 4 stars so we made a stop there. If I remember correctly, from top left, in clockwise - peach gum snow fungus, taro sago with coconut milk, mulberry lotus egg and dried beancurd barley egg. Total cost: HKD 92.

Side note: I initially wanted to write "Random stroll around Fortress Hill and Causeway Bay" until I noticed we ate more than we walked.
