WA: Corrigin Dog Cemetery, Wave Rock, Hippo's Yawn and Ravensthorpe

Corrigin is a town, located about 2.5 hours drive east of Perth. It is a popular stopover when visiting Hyden's Wave Rock. We didn't visit any other sites in Corrigin, only the Corrigin Dog Cemetery. It was the same stop when I first visited Australia.
Corrigin Dog Cemetery
The Dog Cemetery was initially established in 1974 when a returned serviceman, Paddy Wright buried his dog, Strike at this site.
Years later in 1981, another local, Alan Henderson also buried his dog, Lassie in this same site and built a headstone to recognise his dog's devotion to their family. When people saw the headstone, they also wanted to same treatment for their pets and Mr Henderson spent years tending the upkeep and beautification of this area after his retirement.
The dog sculpture of about 5 feet height, at the entrance was only established in 1992, constructed by a professional sculptor.
Wave Rock
Wave Rock or Katter Kich by the Noogar is part of the Hyden Rock. There are some short walk trails around that one could do but we were beaten by the heat and flies. So what we did was get off the car and see the Wave Rock, got back in the car and see the Hippo's Yawn.
Hippo's Yawn
Tafone (plural: tafoni) refers to the large hollows or caverns which develop in big boulders. So Hippo's Yawn is a tafone within a very large boulder.

Ravensthorpe
Our stay for the night was at Green Haven Tourist Park campsite. On the night of our stay, there were more caravans than camps and only one other person was using the communal camp kitchen. I was on cooking duty while the rest setting up the camp.
The bbq cooktop was in use, so we cooked using the stove that we brought along. Cooking utensils are not provided in this communal kitchen.
