Poached fish fillets in hot oil |
New food places I had a chance to try this round ^^. In order of main meals that I had, followed by desserts.
Yu Ren Ma Tou
Washing Lane, Perth WA 6000
Awesome Sichuan food in the cbd. There were 3 adults and 2 kids in our party and we ordered 4 set meals which came with rice and a soup. The photo above of poach fish fillets in hot oil, the 2 below of Chongqing chilli chicken and cabbage fried with pork, plus not pictured of sweet and sour ribs. From memory they were are priced at $13.99.
So we had 2 spicy dishes and 2 non-spicy. All dishes were good but our least favourite of all the ones we tried was the sweet and sour ribs.

Al Fornetto
199 Scarborough-Beach Road, Doubleview WA 6018
This meal was sans the kids. Sis and I shared a grilled seafood plate and BIL had a pork shoulder dish. We ordered a garden salad ($10.50) to fulfil vege quota.
Grilled seafood plate, $44.50 |
Pork shoulder, $34.00 |
It was a bit of wait despite it didn't look busy. Food were decent but not sensational level.
Water Margin Restaurant
366 Albany Hwy, Victoria Park, WA 6100
The main dish sis wanted to introduced to me was this chicken soup which includes a couple of fish maw and a couple of abalone pot.
Of course just this wasn't enough, so we also had noodles and chilli wonton.
Guilty Pleasure
1/222 James St, Northbridge WA 6003
Awesome cakes! Enough said. They are Korean bakery type of cafe and all the cakes were fantastic. We dined in after dinner at Yu Ren Ma Tou.
From left, clock wise: Fresh Grape, Matcha tiramisu, earl grey and red bean injeolmi |
Little nephew had a small birthday party and sis ordered their biscoff cake as it wasn't available when we visited.
